Default Lights wired...... new problems....

Alright, so my buddy and I just wired up my Black Magics to my windshield mounts and when I was pulling away the dashboard started glowing. The check engine light is permanately on and the ESP, ABS, and the E Brake flash every two minutes. Does anyone know why this is and how I can go about fixing that?

How did you power them? You should run power directly from the battery as tapping for power in most other places will reek havoc on the CANBUS system.

I used all the included wiiring sent to me with the red wire running from the harness and the green wire from the switch connected to the battery. The instructions were iffy at best. They said to run the green wire from the switch to a 12V+, but had no clarificaton to where to run the wire from the switch to.

If you ran the 12V power from the battery to the lights then grounded the lights there shouldnt be a problem. If you tapped into some other 12V source then you have a problem.

You need to run the red wire to your battery, the black wire to a grounded metal screw or source, somewhere on the body of the jeep and the green wire I ran to the fuse box on fuse M36 which is the "Power Outlet #3 (BATT). It's a 20 amp fuse. I have no problem.

with these lights, the black wire connects directly to the lights, and the blue wire is the ground, according to the directions. the red wire comes from the harness, and the green wire runs from the switch so i guess i can try plugging that into the fuse box..... ?

Ok guys, I got it all fixed. I unplugged the battery for 5 minutes or so and re-routed the wire from the switch to the m36 fuse. Thanks a lot for your input and quick responses

so, are you not running a relay? I just wired my lights, includes in the wiring harness is a relay and fuse. I got them wired up per the instructions, but they do not work.
