Before you do the steps in post #14, lock your doors "then" wait until the security light on the dash goes from fast blink to slow brink!

FWIW I just found out that when you disable the horn-on-lock, you are also disabling the horn-reply when you remote start the Jeep.

I had to hold down the 1st button for almost ten seconds for it to work. Just keep trying. I know the panic is annoying.

FYI, I've reposted the tips for changing the honk, etc into the FAQ.

Hey, a big shout out for the "search" function. That damn beep was driving me crazy.

I did a search on this thinking that it might be done with the key fob and there it was. First post had the answer.

Thank you!

I tryed this few times on my 2008 JK Sahara witout success
I succeed to stop the light flashing but not the horn.

Is there a specific time to hold down the panic button?
I Really want to remove this horn while locking the doors
I had trouble at first with mine standing outside the vehicle. I sat in the drivers seat and it worked right away.

The users manual describes how to do this as well. I have disabled the horn when I lock the vehicle with the key fob as well as enabling the unlocking of all doors with a single press of the unlock button on the key and unlock all doors when one of the front doors are opened after putting the jeep into park. It circumvents some of the perceived safety items for locking and unlocking just the driver door. It is fairly safe around here and my wife doesn't usually drive the jeep so I have it set the way I want.
