mp3 cd compatibility
Now maybe I used the wrong something - but I doubt it.
Here are some more of the details, but I'd advise against attempting to run DVD's of MP3's on the OEM Infinity system.
Nero 6 SmartStart, selected Audio DVD, browsd to clean MP3's (again no iTunes junk here) and added (3) songs. Staples single layer 4.7Gb DVD+R at up to 8X. This test disc worked fine in a PC.

I haven't tried flac files yet, but I am going to.
Sorry, I didn't actually get to watch the movie...I just stuck a burned movie in there and started playing and heard sound.
The reason was that there's no screen and my thing said DVD so it got me curious. Later I went by the dealer and the guy at the Parts dept said I can buy a screen and would work just fine.

As for the random button-- from what I've heard, the random button on the single disc models isn't all that random anyway-- so you're not missing much. The recommendation is to burn your track list in a randomized order if that's possible.
I don't think flac files will be supported, but it won't hurt anything to try.

I can guarentee that flac isn't supported. Nothing has flac decompression built in. Nothing hardware-wise, that I've seen. Just use V0/APX mp3s and you're good.
and yes, you can get a monitor for the 6disc/dvd unit. There's a write-up in the write-up section on how to hook it up.
To the people who have discs failing, what bitrate and quantity of mp3s were you burning?
