that is a high speed model. it is what comes in a 2009 wrangler. What does it do when the key is on and you press in the volume knob?

 

blow a fuse maybe? check your fuses.

 

antenna isnt needed to audio to work. did you check all of your fuses? to me it really sounds like a power issue (getting constant but not switched or vise versa)

 

There is no switched power to the mygig it is controlled by the CANBUS DATA if it is a high speed data mygig and the logo is not changing to JEEP or UCONNECT it sounds to me like there’s no DATA to the radio, If you apply power to a mygig without DATA or the incorrect DATA from the Jeep it will react in the way yours is it will power up to eject a disk only.

 

That makes sense. What would cause no data or wrong data to be sent? I thought the MyGIGs were plug and play, and that "telling" the Jeep you had one was not necessary? Perhaps this Jeep needs to be "reflashed" with new firmware. (I can't believe I just said that about a JEEP!)

 

You mean they installed the firmware and it is still not working? Did they tell you what version they tried to install?

It sure looks like that unit is defective. You can try doing an update yourself with version 2.043 (which I am sure the dealer doesn't have yet). It looks like the unit will recognize a CD when inserted and boot off it, as that is the only way the RER software can be updated.
