MyGIG DVD question
If you live in a state where it's legal to do that just take it to the dealer and they could program it to work that way.
I've heard you can pull the e-brake SLIGHTLY to the point where the MyGig thinks the brake is on but it really isn't.
You can purchase a Lockpic or AllGig which will also enable other features too.

The problem is the MYGIG uses the canbus to receive data from the main CPU. The CPU reads all 4 speed sensors from all 4 wheels and the status of the e-brake. So, just pulling up the E-brake a bit will NOT work you must be stopped.
My advice go get the Lockpick! It is awesome!

Another company that sells a unit that also gives you extra video in, and video in motion is h t t p://w w w.navtv.com/
I have used them before, with excellent results. That way you can actually plug in an Xbox or PS3 to the dash. OR put a backup camera in back, and see it on the NAV screen.
real handy.

There is a button sequence you have to press before you place the Jeep in drive. Once in drive you press another button and everything works.
My understanding is that this does not work on all MyGig models though nd it might be depndant on what version of software you have. Mine has never been upgraded, worries that if I update it I might loose the watch while in motion feature

i'm no expert, but i was following this topic closely in another thread and i think the difference for me was that i have a MANUAL trans. i don't think it's version(rer/ren) or software (9.8xx) related.
I beg to differ.... I have a non-nav MyGig that plays movies just fine while in motion.

For liability Chrysler was very clear that you can NOT allow any way shape or form of having dvd's viewed.
It's 100% illegal in a lot of states, and only illegal when in motion in other states.
A few folks that dont believe me that this works will be shown this weekend at JK Fest first hand.
