Anyone know why my mygig won't charge my iPad when I plug it into the USB?

 

Yep, same reason it won't charge off a computer or laptop (if you don't believe me, next time you sync check the upper right corner of the Ipad, it will say "not charging" or something like that.) With the exception of a few apple computers, the majority of the USB ports out there don't push enough juice for the iPad to charge. In fact, a standard iPhone/iPod wall charger will only charge your iPad at half the rate of the supplied iPad charger. If you look closely at your iPad wall charger you will notice it has twice the juice of the iPhone/iPod chargers.

You and me both...and I really wish it charged off my damn computer.

 

iPhone draws 5mw, the iPad requires 10. You can charge an iPhone on an iPad charger at twice the rate, and vice versa at half.

More than likely your USB doesn't have enough power.
