i have 2009 JK Sahara with the stock radio in it and i was
wondering can i throw a mygig in it? if i can does anyone
know where i can get a mygig?
I want Navi and i want it to look nice and clean so thats
why i want a mygig. I called the stealership and they told me 3 G's?
is that right?

On my 08 window sticker it listed for $1250. You can get them on the bay for half that.

Be careful in your purchase, certain my gigs have different bussconnections high or low......do your research. Themes a few threads on this topic

need to find out the buss speed of your jk. a mygig with the same buss speed. Hopefully you can get a jk one from your year. Seach the forum. There are several threads on this topic.

 

I did the swap in my 09 Rubi. You can look through my posts in my profile, or use the search feature to find more info.

Look to ebay or Craiglist for a MyGIg. You'll need a High Speed unit from a 2007 through 2010 Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge vehicle. 09-10 are the better options as they use a higher capacity hard drive and are compatible with the MOPAR iPod harness.

My breakdown:

• $900 MyGig (ebay from a 2009 Dodge Ram)
• $100 MOPAR iPod harness (forum member - classifieds)
• $200 Lockpick (ebay)
• $100 MOPAR mic kit (dealership parts dept)
• $100 Rear view camera

Total = $1400

-09-10 RER Mygig (High speed)
-Wiring harness (no statillight radio)
-An antenna

Don't mean to hijack your thread so please forgive my question.
I am getting a Kenwood DNX 6160 for my '08, supposed to come with the kit to hook it up to the Jeep. I am wondering if I need the MYGIG Lockpick and microphone to get the thing working for the hands free phone and maybe a camera or two. I am not one who has a really great knowledge of these new items so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

 

Yeah im currently looking to bus a mygig for my 2007 JKU. And you will just like myself need to get one of the highspeed bus mygigs.
