I grabbed the new MyGig software update a few minutes ago and was planning to install it at lunch. Does anyone know of any map/NAV data updates out there?

 

where did you get the new update from? I am having issues with my radio and the dealership here doesn't have a new update yet.

 

Read this thread. I burned the download to a CD an popped it in the CD drive on my way home for lunch. It was done before I got in my driveway.

Map/Nav data updates must be purchased. You can get a disc of the update, but it will do you no good. You need to have a special Key number which is based off of the VIN of your JK. So even if you knew someone who purchased an update, they couldn't just give you a copy of the disc and their key, since the VIN will be different.

 

I figured I would have to purchase the map data from NAVTEQ or somewhere like that. I was just wondering when the last update for our NAV units had been published.
