Need help ASAP
Last night I went the weather called for a 0% chance of rain all night. I left my 07 Wrangler out all night without the top in doors. I went out the next morning and everything is soaked. I assumed everything is okay, since I have seen tons of people do this before, and after all it's a Jeep. A couple hours later my horn randomly starts beeping out of no where and there was no way to stop it. It started beeping in random outbreaks about every two minutes. I'm worried something is messed up with the electrical. Anyone had something like this happen to them before? Or have any advice. Thanks

I replaced my clockspring myself for the price of the part. It was under 200 if I remember correctly. The hardest part is getting the horn off. I got a flat head screwdriver and bent the tip at a 90 degree angle and used that to undo the clips that hold the horn on. That's the only hard part of that install. Don't forget to disconnect the battery before you take the airbag off. All in all its not the end of the world if you have to replace the clockspring.
In fact I think the 2007 clocksprings are covered under factory warranty.

Yeah it's a $200 part and an hour or so to install it from what I've seen. The dealer would be a lot higher with labor of course. I believe the warranty was extended to 10 years or 150K miles for the 07 on the CS. Not sure if that includes a warranty on one that has already been replaced though, which may or may not be the case here.
