Definitely go with JL, it's what I got in mine for two 12" subs, put em in my other jeep then had em swapped over to the one I have now. The whole setups been lasting for over four yrs without a single problem...

Ditto
I had a 10w3 once and it sounded better than the two twelves i replaced.

I currently have a 8w1 in my unlimited and am happy with my decision... if i were to change it i would go with an 8w3

Go with Kicker! I got two 15" L7s, 1500.1 Kicker ZX, 6 cu. ft. ported box, 0/1 gauge wires, and a capacitor all for under $500... (I know a guy)....

You didn't say what kind of box Kenwood subs are going to be sitting in. Ported or sealed? If ported, they will eat the 1 JL sub alive. If you get that JL sub with that amp, you'd only be able to run it at 300 watts. Kenwoods you'd be able to run at 500 watts, because you could wire them in 2ohm. However, if you do go with Kenwood, I'd suggest getting a bit more powerful amp to match the maximum wattage of Kenwood subs, which is 800. They have more capacity, so why not use it? In the end it's 800 watts vs 300 watts, 2 subs vs 1. That kind of answers all the questions.

Yea. I've seen them on YouTube. Nice systems. I'm looking to spend like $1500. It's hard to budget systems :/
