Default New Head unit for my JK

Just finished installing the Boss Audio BV9566Bi I got off Amazon for around $200. If you are on a budget and want an upgrade to the stock non-infinity system I recommend it. AM/FM, DVD/CD, USB, SD card, Ipod hookup and backup camera (not included).

The only thing you have to buy extra is the actual camera right?

I bought the camera, harness and dash kit. All three added around $60.

Did you have to mount a microphone for the phone?

Yes it can play DVD's while driving if you ground the emergency brake hook-up wire. It does not need an addition toggle. The unit has a built-in Mic for the bluetooth pairing. I tested it with my wife and she said it sounded the same as the cell-phone (Motorola DroidX).

Here are the part list (forgot to mention antenna adapter):

1 = Boss Audio BV9566Bi
2 = Metra 95-6511 Chrysler/Jeep 2007 DDIN Dask kit
3 = Pyle PLCM10 License plate rear view camera with Lux night vision
4 = Metra 70 6522 Chrysler 2007 harness radio
5 =Metra 40EU10 2002-up VW/BMW/European Vehicle antenna adapter

It took a good six hours to install. I elected to remove the metal bracket for the back of the factory radio. Other forum member used a sawsall to cut the top support. I didn't trust myself with a sawsall inside a plastic dash ;-)

"I didn't trust myself with a sawsall inside a plastic dash"

It was scary when I did it! But it's doable.

This looks so awesome and I can't believe it is only like 200 bucks! Is it Satellite compatible by any chance? I checked online and it says yes but no where in the product information does it say it is. Also, did it change the output of your speakers? I may be looking into getting this for my Jeep

Did you have to cut the dash at all to fit this? How much does it stick out? Looks like it sticks out a good 1/2in... any side pictures would be awesome. If you want to put the stock back in would that be an issue?
