Did you take a Look at that site in my earlier post? The site that i have follwed since 2007 was a MyGig Unofficial site and it has been down for a while know, I think it was Private Paid site and didn't renew or just stopped paying....Well that info on that site and a couple others are stuff from that site and anything Recent.

.
As longs as the unit doesn't have any issues and fixes have been done...you just go to the Newest Update. Just like Software on desktops, the newest update contains all that you need to get to new update. You don't have to load each update one by one.

Thanks, but yes I heave been through this thread no less than 3 times reading it all and I have yet to see where anyone list version 9.501 as one of the software versions. From what I understand I may need to do this in steps but if I do not know where to start I am affraid I may screw it up.

No Reason to mention that Version when it isn't a Update. It is the Original Version to the Unit From 5 years ago. Who told you that steps were involved in your unit and couldn't get you to where you need to be with your Unit and get your task done?
Helpful hint with these units. If you are told something and they have facts but can't show you or Help you, then i wouldn't put too much into that "fact" or too much of anything you get from that person. Are you having any Issues with the Unit, say Clock not keeping correct time.....Are you able to Load Songs etc to your Hard Drive without any problems and play them?
.

Actually the only issue that I know of is the clock stays at 12:00. As for the steps to get to 2.404, I have seen that I cannot go directly from 9.501 to 2.404 on a coujple boards to include the super cell board in your previous post. Oh and I have zero lockpick menu screens and I was told by thier techs that is becuase I have no TV tab and that was due to old software in the head unit.

Do you happen to know if the RER sound quality is the same as the REC? I ask as it seems the RER does not have the bass that the REC had even after messing with the EQ.

Sorry to be a pain, but I really do appreciate your help!

You're not a Pain....The Pain is the People telling you what the Problem is but not how to fix the Problem and/or either can't bother to help you.

On that first Site I posted, from Supercell gives you info on the Clockfix. having those list I gave you and then starting at First pages to last Pages, Because The MyGig Site is Not Up, things are set in Order anywhere. So with List and the sites, it will Help you with your issues with what version or however Reading this for help, their Version to get to the Update you desire.
.
Example of ClockFix from SuperCell....
Good Luck
.
.
2.402 is linked here in the stickied thread.
viewtopic.php?p=2530#p2530

2.499 is a "clockfix" modified version of 2.302

The clockfix version is for vehicles that did not come from the factory with a MyGig. It corrects the clock by allowing it to get the time from the GPS system.

Newer vehicles have a clock module that the MyGig uses to get the correct time. Older vehicles do not have the clock module, causing the MyGig's clock to display 12:00 all the time. The clockfix software tells the MyGig to get the time from the GPS satellites, instead of looking for the clock module in the vehicle.

Needless to say, you can only "clockfix" a navigation radio.

If you need the clockfix and want to keep it with 2.402, first load 2.499, then load 2.402, and the clockfix will still work.

Also you can go into settings and set the clock to use GPS time. that was part of the issue with the older software/units....

Default REP Mygig Update from 9.303

Hi All

I tried not to post anything and finding my answer in the previous posts but didnt have any luck.

I recently bought a used Wrangler with MyGig REP, it has version 9.303 installed, after some reading I found download links for updates at
***NEW MyGIG Software Update RER-REW-REP 2.404*** - Jeep Garage - Jeep Forum

I dont think it has been updated and I cannot find a lot of info on the REP versions.

I know that I have to go to 9.713 first, then 9.807 and then 2.404.

I downloaded the file NTG4_9.713.zip, will this work on the REP? Because it does not specify for which version it is specifically.
When I extracted it there was a folder named RER_9.713, so now I am not sure if it will work and do not want to test it and then it messes up the whole system.
As far as I understand the 9.713 update came out for REP RER and REW models. Can I just change the CD name to REP_9.713

If someone can assist it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Default Gracenote update

Hi to all,

I have just updated my Mygig REW EU software to 2.404, put on the Map-update 2013 and then wanted to update the gracenote software. The Gracenote-DVD showed: data, but nothing else happened. So I burned a new DVD at slowest speed, but again only data. A USB-Stick with the actual gracenote software also showed: "data" and nothing else happened.

At present I have the following information on my REW: Application: 2.404, Gracenote: 518
Data-Bank: WS5-E12183.3.0 SDS: 170901
Hardware: Serial-Nr.: T00BE209700286 System: 6818.006.3.5

I took the download off the Swiss-Server. It´s an RAR-file which I burned as a iso-data file.

I wonder if I did anything wrong???
I´m also not able to find a 518 gracenote-file anywhere. All files are way up higher in the numbering. I prosume I have a very old gracenote file on my REW?
I was surprised that the actual gracenote update was not on the update-CD with the 2.404 files for the REW, that was sent to me with purchase of the map update 2013 from Navteq.

The REW HDD only shows Music-titles that I loaded through a USB-Stick. Titles from CDs are shown as track numbers.
Navigation and Radio works fine! U-Connect problems with connection to smartphone via bluetooth.

Hopefully someone has an answere for me. Thanks and regards!!!

Cay
