Default Non-Infinity X - total stereo replacement - Show Me Your Amps

Ok, have started tossing around ideas in my head to rip out the stock stereo and put in a whole new shebang.

Last install I did was in my '03 Mustang Mach1. That was one rockin car and looking to do something similar to the Jeep.

How have YOU done it? Where did you mount amps? How do you keep it from getting stolen?

Post your pics

Mount the amp under the passenger side back seat. I would recommend downfiring boxes so people can't get your subs and then mount the box down. I have this setup with two 12's and a 1400 watt amp and it slams!!!

I was just at the audio dealer asking questions today. I would like to see pics as well. The guy I spoke to said all I needed was a sub. I have the mopar kicker 6 1/2. They suggested I get one 12" sub.

Downfiring means that the sub is mounted in a box so it faces down...think of a box that has like 3 inch legs or stilts. Very common in trucks. Also look into shallow mount subs to save pace in the back. Search google for an image.

I have mine under the driver & passenger seats. I haven't "mounted" them yet since I am not 100% sure this is where I want them. I would also like to see where people mounted their amps to maybe give me some better ideas. I'll take pictures once it stops raining...
