Optima Yellow-top 2012 Sport
I went to advanced auto to get a yellow-top but they said Optima doesn't have one available for the 2012 Wrangler yet. Is this true? Wouldn't a yellow-top that fits in a 2011 still fit in a 2012?

Why a yellow top? Are you running tons of accessories? A red top would probably be more than enough "juice" for most people. The factory battery works fine for a lot of guys with winches and o/r lights, so a red top would be a perfect "just in case" upgrade and it's more common and they might have it in your correct size.

Also, if you're worried about accessory drain, a high output alternator may be a better place to spend your money, but again, tons of people use the factory unit with no complaints.
I'm not trying to discourage you from doing what you want to do here, just trying to help you put your hard earned $ in the right places to maximize your performance gains.

I appreciate the info and suggestions. When I play my sound system moderately loud the lights flicker slightly. I had one in my old 2005 Wrangler X and it was good money well spent.

If that's your issue, an inline capacitor might be a better option. Capacitors (or "caps") store voltage so when a heavy draw is put on the electrical system it provides sort of a buffer between the component (draw) and the battery so you are not deep cycling the battery, which kills the battery's life span.
Optima batteries are great for this too, but after prolonged use like that, they too exhibit signs of early failure. So even if you do get an optima, still get a capacitor so you're not killing it too soon.
