Where did you put the antenna to get the best reception?

Same place as the OE antenna. On top of the speaker bar over the passanger seat.

Highest possible point on the vehicle. I used to have mine on the front cowl by the wipers. I had signal loss very frequently and moved the antenna to a roll bar mount when I had it(I don't run a top on my jeep). No loss of reception when it was on the roll cage. May want to stick it on the roof of your hardtop if you don't have a soft top.

Thought about doing that with my NAV antenna. But I decided not to. I thought that I may want to take my top off again next spring.

I mounted my Sirius antenna on my dash as close to the windshield as possible. Between the vents right in the middle of the dash there is a little partition that I stuck it too, works great. Only drops out underneath overpasses or when there is a blockage to the sky.

I mounted mine some time ago under the padding on top of the sound bar. I never loose signal unless going under a bridge or in high tree area's along the road.

The hard top or soft top on or off doesn't seem to make any difference in signal quality.
