Default RBZ headunit wrong screw holes

Hi,

I need some help and advise. So my friend gave me his RBZ unit from his Durango. Unfortunately the screw holes are on top and bottom not on the sides. Have anyone here try installing a RBZ with different screw holes such as custom mounting it?

Thank you,
Ray

The Durangos are a low speed canbus where as the Wranglers are a high speed. That radio will not work in your Wrangler

I have been researching these for weeks now. maple75 is correct, low speed canbus will not work in the Wrangler. Also, you need to have the Infinity system for the MyGig to work. If i am correct on this one. The MyGig uses the stock external amps to power the speakers. The mounting holes are also an issue. Wrangler uses side mount while there are a few vehicles have top mounts. If you search eBay you can see the 3 different versions of MyGig. There is the base MyGig with just the hard drive and radio. There is the upgrade from that with hard drive, radio, and Sirius. Then the big boy with Hard drive, radio, Sirius, and Nav. Not the confusing part is all the differences in years, canbus speed, and mounting.

Here are a few site that may help you out.....

You would have to look into that to be sure. Or you could just plug it in and see. I am not sure about the mounting issue. You can see if there is some way to interchange them or rig it up to work. Let us know what you find....
