mine doesnt have any rca jacks its all built into the harness i think. i replaced my HU and used the metra chto 03 harness which gave me all the ouputs i needed. not sure if that helps any cuzz i dont think ur wanting to replace ur HU. i think that splicing into the rolbar speakers for the source would be an option but not sure how to do that im not to good with sound systems

I'm doing a similar thing. You cannot simply splice into the existing speaker wiring. The speaker signals are crossed over at the amp...tweeters very high pass, 6.5"s are about 100k to fairly high, and the sub is about 100k and below for good bass. Not sure if anyone has actually found the spec on this, but more based on ear guessing.

If only wanting bass out of the system, and comfortable with the factory amp crossover setting, you can probably get a LOC (Line Output Converter) to adjust the speaker level to RCA inputs.

If you want a 'full pass' signal going into the new amp, then you have a larger issue. You need to purchase a wiring harness that connects behind the radio and gives you RCA's. The one I am about to install is the PAC C2A-CHY2. You simply remove the factory radio, unplug the wiring plug, and plug this harness between them, then run RCA's from that new harness to your amp.

I easily hooked an aftermarket sub into my jeep and it sounds awsome, you just have to buy the right amp, I bought a Kicker amp with a high level input (4pin input instead of RCA's) the amp comes with the wiring harness and I just spliced it into the existing harness for the stock sub and now I have a 10" sub and a 8"
I am at work right now but I will post pics as soon as I get home tonight.
