Ipf with wireing harness and fat boy bulbs is a pretty substantial upgrade without making it difficult. I tried hid in the stock housing and it was useless. Stray light was brutal in fog and snow. Took them back out as I do a lot of snow/fog driving and cannot be blinded by my own headlights.

I thought the same thing. I just upgraded to Sylvania Silverstar zXe's. They were roughly $60 for the pair at Advanced Auto Parts. Way whiter and brighter light!

Trucklite LEDs. No question. But they're around $500. Very easy install

Silverstar Ultras worked great for me. Much brighter than stock. Running Recons diamond whites now and I couldn't be happier. Got them for about $30 shipped and they are awesome!

yeah, the ipf is the way to go i figure.

I just put phillips xtreme power headlight bulbs in my stock housings, they look brighter than the silverstars that came out. i will try tonight to see what the difference is. but I think i am swapping out to IPF housings and phillips bulbs.

I had the IPFs in my 2010 that I moved to my 2012 before trading it. Great upgrade but I wanted more, yesterday I added 55W H4 HID system to the IPFs.

Satisfied for now...
