Red Lightnin Bolt Help

I have been getting a red lightning bolt on my dash recently, it comes and goes sometimes it will appear and when i restart it goes off sometimes for a day or a week... I had two codes pop up but my jeep runs fine... Anything to worry about????

The lightning bolt means that there's something wrong with the throttle control electronics. But only if it remains lit while driving. You're "supposed" to see your dealer about it because of reduced performance.

The obvious question now is: What were the codes?

jagermeister427 Aug 11, 2011 03:03 AM

The two codes i got were p0221 and p2135. The light has been coming on everytime i drive now. No performance issues though. Any ideas. Thanks

  • When Monitored: Ignition on and No MAP Sensor DTCs set.
  • Set Condition: TP Sensor signals do not correlate to the MAP Sensor signal. Two Trip Fault. ETC light will illuminate. P2135 should set with this code also.
