Replace 2011 JKU Fog Lights
Hi All,
The fog lights on my 2011 JKU consistently burn out. I have replaced the bulbs in both lights and even replaced an entire light (housing and all) but still get the same results. I'm assuming the wiring is bad and at this point I am past my warranty, so any repair / mod will be on my dime.
I have an ACE front bumper with fog hole cutouts that accommodate OEM fog lights. My goal is to insert aftermarket lights into these holes and wire a switch to the A pillar. Can anyone suggest lights that this may work with? The best situation would be to screw them right into the existing holes on the bumper. If that's not an option, I was thinking of drilling holes on the top of the bumper (I don't use a winch, and it's flat compared to the bottom of the bumper which is on an angle) but I think that would probably be difficult to line up so that the lights will be right up, or close to the openings on the bumper. I would rather NOT replace the wiring, but I don't see a way around this. Any suggestions? Anyone know of lights that would fit in the OEM housing?
Thanks in advance.
Dom
