Default Rigid Duallys Flood as fog lights

I installed some rigid flood duallys as fog lights. is there a way to position these as fog lights and not blind everyone else? How high should the beam be and at what distance to make sure they are aimed right? So they are wicked bright, so what options do I have?

where did you mount them? what lens pattern did you get and do you have the d2's or the dually?

those little cubes in the pic, just about dead below the headlight. dually 1, not D2, and flood, not spot or diffused.

aim them slightly more towards the ground and then go from there at night for the best results. I have them there as well and they work awesome!

what he said!

if you had the d2's it might be trickier but i think a d1 would be doable.

of the dually d1 or the twice as bright d2?

if you look at my thread there are some basic pictures showing the d2 mounted on the rear end on top of the brake light housing...

see "Attempt at step by step of a Rigid Dually D2 tied to the reverse circuit w/BDF mount"

That's where I mounted mine as well. I agree they are a bit on the bright side but I absolutely love them!

I installed Duallys as floods because my XRC bumper did not have a place for the factory floods. I used the factory wiring for the floods and I use them all the time. They are way brighter than the factory headlights. I aimed them down a little because I was afraid they were blinding people! I like them a bunch!

If you attempt to use a "flood" beam pattern in inclement weather ( such as fog or snow ), you will be left with the perception of driving into a white wall.
