ROSTRA DRL's Daytime Running Lights LED's????
UPDATE: Rostra emailed me on monday and sent out a new set of the LED's with (brass inserts) installed. They sent overnight and recieved them today Tues, 4/15. So of course had to install. Must say, really like them. I have added night pictures in the rain (glare little tough), Pics include: Close up of left side; just daylights; daylights and fogs; AND ALL lights, days, fogs & headlights. Very good product, 3 year warranty.
Attachment 545499Well, I bit the bullet and ordered the Rostra DLR's through Charafra.com. They have a great video with the link provided below. The wiring was easy, I used a reg rotozip with a regular plastic cutting bit. I copied the left and right templates provided and taped them to fenders with painters tape. I left them in place and traced the cut with the rotozip. Everything went great. Got the wiring done into the fuse panel, got the cuts done and then when I went to install the DRL lights, the back off the lights did NOT have the brass screw fittings installed to attach them to the front fenders. Of course, my luck it was a friday night project, first 70 degree weekend in New england and Rostra was closed til monday. I emailed the company, pictures, my reciept and pics of the holes in my fenders. This event unfortunately took the first nice weekend of the season away. I did recieve an email from Bill Simmons; who is the Director of Corporate Marketing from Rostra. He said they would take care of it on Monday.
I will keep you posted on the customer service from Rostra, I can honestly say that the product seems very good quality, lets hope the customer service is the same like the other great jeep company's like teraflex, AEV, Rugged Ridge, etc.
