It just doesn't make sense that a short one works as good as a long one. Just ask your wife or girlfriend.

Check out eBay. I purchased mine there pretty cheap. I mostly listen to Sirius so reception isn't much of an issue for me, but in the times that I have listened to AM/FM, I've had no issues (except when I was in a full-tin garage.)

Here's a picture:

I just ordered one, so I'll let you know if it receives the same or not. I do listen to Atlanta stations occasionally, so we'll see.

I had the 8 inch shorty antenna on for a while, it did its job OK. I like AM radio in the morning and the shorty suffered there. If your not into AM at all then go for it, if you are, then you might want to consider something besides the 8 inch version. I originally installed it to get around my Mopar mounts, but I just ended up tweaking my OEM antenna which now also clears my garage door.

Dude....I like your idea with your antenna....but you know what? Imagine that second bend to where it would make the rest of the antenna parrallel with the windshield pillar. I bet it would look even better.

Thanks, and y'all have a Merry Christmas as well. I'll call regarding the equipment soon (probably Friday, if it's good with you).
