Well since you asked, I think it looks terrible and thats the worst place for a subwoofer as far as sound quality goes.

But thumbs up for making good use of the limited space you have

Top down, mud tires and lots of tools and stuff rattling around....Is There a Good Place for optimum sound quality????

That has to work better than mine, buried with tool bags and stuff.

I love some RubyDoo, but I kinda liked the other place you had it better. pointed rearward at the tailgate. But, I do appreciate the reason behind moving it there, and I have seen how full your cargo area is. full of shopping bags and purses. hehe

Looks like a POS......

BTW - base is non-directional so it doesn't matter where is is pointed or put, you will stell hear & feel it based on proximity not direction. You could put it under your seat for that matter.

Bass is non-directional, but it is also impacted by it's environment... or lack of. Having it near "walls" will produce more sound as it resonates off of the surfaces around it. In addition, if there is any looseness(word?) to the mount it reduces the speakers effectiveness.

Creative solution to the trunk space issue... I like it.

Personally, If its that big of a deal... I'd just lose it altogether i've heard way better systems.. My GMC had Bose 10x better and infinity isn't that good anyway... I don't like it much.. but hey it's your rig...
