Default Stock Switch + Factory Fogs + KC Apollos = Whaaaa?

I'm an electrical mental midget so I'm asking for help. I've replaced factory fog lights with aftermarket fogs on a 2010 using the factory switch. This time however, I'm installing aftermarket driving lights (KC Apollo 55W Driving Lights) and keeping my fog lights. I wanna use the factory switch to turn on both sets of lights. So, how do I do it? Here's how I think it should work (or its just proof of how little I know). Also, I created it in power point, tried to load the file, learned it was invalid, said eff it and took a photo it and loaded it here, then wrote a run on sentence about it.

Your computer will shut the circuit down. There will be too much amp draw. You will need to introduce a relay to run the extra set of lights.

Yes you can use the factory foglamp wiring.I would use them to control a relay though so there is no load at your switch. To do this check the existing fog lamp wiring to see if the power or ground is switched. It is more often the positive side that is switched. Get a bosch relay and you will see four or five spades on it. if it is a four pin there will be two vertical pins (85 and 86) in the right and left and the two middle (30 and 87) will be at 90 degree angle to themselves. If it is a five pin you wont use the center pin (87a). Now the relay is controled by the two outer pins (85 and 86) on positive and one negative and doesn't matter which one you use for + or - . the center pins (30 and 87) are used for your power and load (lights). If the fogs are + switched then run it to the side terminal and ground the other side. If they are - switched then attach an ignition on feed to the other side to prevent you from leaving on your lights. Attach a wire from the battery to one of the center terminals and the last one to your lights. Now when you turn on your fog lights it will energize the relay and turn on your new lights. The will get full power to your lights and remove any load to your switches. This can be used for and relay for accessories too. Any question pm me and I'll help you out. Hope this helps out. Rick

Instead of the switch from ignition use your factory fog lamp wiring to control the relay

Rick, you are the shit. I'll have to order the relay and start installing before I fully understand. In the mean time, I'm putting words into my brain via this site (for future dummies using this post to learn): Relays

I did avionics on FA18's in the Marines so automotive wiring is pretty simple for me. I'm glad to help out my fellow Jeepers! Feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.

I hooked everything up but it's not working. I grounded each kc with the aft screw of the cowling. I grounded the relay with an existing screw by the battery/hood. The switch is wired to the passenger side fog lights white wire with an orange stripe (I tried the other black screw as well.

Suggestions?

its possible your grounds are not grounded. scrape some paint so you have metal on metal this may fix the problem. especially if your doing nuts on light attachments and so on.
