Yeah I'm using the stock radio, ill be changing is in the future. The only problem with it is the power from the amp and subs goes away after i set the volume to 28 and higher, it just gets loud as normal. I usually jam out with the volume set at 25 so I'm good for now.

I have the sub in a box now, sounds 10x better, but it's cutting in and out. Like sometimes it'll hit, then if there's a small period of no bass. It will stop hitting after that.

I had a car audio install it for me, I don't think you would need a harness unless you had an after market stereo . They said since I still have the low powered stock stereo, I would need some converter they were selling to give even power to all the speakers and avoid the loss of loudness when I turn the volume higher.

To run a sub of the stock head unit u will need a SNI. It turns the factory speaker wire into a RCA output.

Okay, so my sub isn't working anymore & im looking to purchase a new one, any body selling a 12"? Preferably with a 500-700 rms? Or 500-600. I'm probably gonna be selling mine, around 50-70 depending on what's wrong.

The gain setting on your amplifier is not a volume knob.

You clipped the signal and fried the sub. Take it to a pro, seriously. The reason it would hit and stop is because it was going in to protect mode.
