Default Switch Identification Help

Saw this switch setup in another thread - does anyone know where to purchase these items? I tried a boating store today, and I think I found the switch, however they only had a red indicator light and I'm certain I've seen pics with other colors.

Also, left the store empty handed as they had what looked to be several versions of the same switch priced anywhere from $6 apiece up to $23 apiece. Anyone know the differences in these switches, and which ones are preferable for Jeep applications (I plan to add some driving lights)?

Thanks in advance.

Go to wikepedia.org and search the word "switch". Halfway down is a table of various switch configurations.

Switches. They are standard contura switches. Major manufacturers of them include Carling Technologies and Bleu Sea Systems. You will see them packaged under other brands but when you open the package they are stamped by Carling. The price was due to the different switch configurations and illumination. Once you find the part numbers you need you can usually find them pretty cheap on the web.

Those mounts are the panel mount. bluesea.com/productline/overview/218 Pictured at that link is the end piece. You need at least two end pieces and however many center pieces or you can get 1, 3, and 6 position panels. On that page click on PRODUCT DOCUMENTS. That will tell you how large of a cutout you need for one and what to add for each additional mount.

In that armrest location you can fit 4 across. These particular switches pose a problem. They are deep. Mine would not fit in. I had to build a panel to bring them out about 1/2". I PMed the originator of that photo a while back and he got his to fit by bending the terminals slightly. Plain switches were 1/4" too deep in mine. I think the center console changed.

And watch out for parentheses. (On) Off. This would be a regular on off switch but it will not stay in the On position. Think of the Push To Talk on a CB. You let go, it goes Off.

You've been warned.
