Default Switch Panel Location Idea

Do you guys think this would fit in that space between the cup holder and gear shift in an 09? According to the specs on the panel it would fit within a hair but has anybody tried? Is there even anything under there would a switch body fit?

I can't answer that specific question but I can throw another option out for you if you're interested.

Thanks

It's awesome how many ideas Jeepers have come up with for this. I threw mine out there because I hadn't seen it before and it's frustrating when every other spot is taken...

That looks good what panel did you use? I have the A pillar already but need more switches and don't have $500 for an sPOD even though they are awesome.

I ended up using the SPOD but didn't pay anywhere near $500. I called and talked to J-R (not Jr. Lol). He got me hooked up with a JK mounting bracket for the engine bay and this universal switch panel because I have an overhead console that doesn't allow the usually kind to work. Check this out:

I used to second one that is $363. That is still really expensive in my book but it was worth it. Just because it doesn't say JK doesn't mean it won't work

You don't have to buy the whole system if you just want the metal overhead switch pod. You can use your own switches, relays, wiring, etc. Just call them to order just the panel.

ok you guys make a good case, not ready for the entire spod system though. Is there somewhere I could buy just the panel without switches or anything else? Or is there room in that plastic piece for the 6 piece flush mount panel from above?
