Default TrailMax DVD Console

Hi,

I'm wondering if anybody installed TralMax DVD Console into 2007 4-door Wrangler? I can't find any specs on what formats are supported ( DVD-R, DIVX, MP3 ) and what games are pre-loaded on the system.

Also, does anybody know of another DVD overhead system that can be neatly installed on sound bar?

Thanks.

WHY WHY WHY!!! I hate the way that thing looks... not to mention the price is RIDICULOUS!!! Do you have the 6 disc DVD Headunit? Even if you don't, you can still by a standalone DVD player or a PS2 and still save money when compared to the cost of the TrailMax. Go to Best Buy and buy Insignia® Dual 9" 16:9 Widescreen LCD Portable DVD Player for $300. a whole lot cheaper.

It's just another target for thieves, I'd get something that is removeable. I have a dual screen, dual player Audiovox system that's been used for raod trips for the kids. It can expand up to 4 screens. Works great and they can choose what movie they want to watch instead of fighting about it.

I agree there are better routes to go..and yes, someone else has done an overhead DVD console. Use the search function on the site.

I've installed the Trailmax console and for the kids....it's wonderful. With the screen down it blocks the back, but with the screen up it's no problem and my girls love it.

Default TrailMax or Any overhead DVD Console

I'm looking for a dvd console that I can install NEATLY on a soundbar. I already have Panasonic Strada installed in the front that plays dvds, however it's not really visible for the kids in the back.

I don't want to go for a tons of wires of do-it-yourself project. I really like the "neatness" factor. I think it's much less attention grabber for thiefs than installing dual headrest monitors. I already have portable dvd palyer but it's the same problem: extra power cable, doesn't go through the sound system unless using an additional fm transmitter, only one screen and so on...

My kids are used to my other car ( GX470 which my wife is driving ), so I want my kids to have as much fun as I do while driving my Jeep.

Thanks!

Of course your gonna say that!!! You are the Vendor! I know I keep giving you a hard time about this monitor... and I don't want to create any bad feelings between you and I... but how do you charge 1,000 bucks for that??? I just don't get it! That is way too overpriced. I heard your price explanation before... and yes, those are overpriced too. You guys charge that much because people will buy them. These are the same folks who find installing this stuff a huge mystery. Installing your unit is no different that one that costs 1/5th what you are charging.

If you are gonna pay nearly a grand for that anyways why not consider some of the headrest style monitors?

Unfortunately I think some models have to be used in conjunction with this under the seat

Other than that I dont know how much cleaner it could get. The stealership had a Commander done up like this and hid the DVD player somewhere I couldnt find.
Our JK's are supposed to be compatible with other Jeep headrests and I think newer model Mercedes I thought I recall reading somewhere.
