Does anybody know how to make the lights NOT turn on when i unlock my car.. it's really annoying. at least to me.

What year?

If you have the vehicle information center ( think that's the name ) you can scroll down to personal settings and it should be in there.

i just found out what the electronic vehicle information center was, and i don't have that on my car.. I thought it was an online thing that helps you. any other suggestions?

I did a quick search and it seems like it might require a scanner to turn it off through OBD. I thought there might be some combination of key fob buttons to change it. Maybe someone else will chime in.

This is accomplished by using your key fob. Press and hold the unlock button for 4-10 seconds and while holding the unlock button press and hold the lock button. Release both at the same time and viola...no more lights when unlocking. Hope this helps.

If you have the owners manual, look on page 22 and give that a try...

That only turns off the "Flash Lights With Lock" feature. To turn off the "Lights On When Unlock" feature you need the EVIC system or the dealer. The length of time the lights stay on must be set to zero.

At the dealer you need to talk... real.... slow..... and maybe explain it about 6 times until they figure out what you're asking for.

That confusion comes up every time this question is asked.

My local dealer could not make it so the headlights do not come on when unlocked. I even gave them the steps to do it.
