the best solution there would be to purchase an aftermarket sunvisor screen, there are loads on eBay for buttons, and its literally a couple of bolts and hooking up the feed and power

I don't think underneath would be that useful...might be cool, but not useful. I'd rather mount one in the grill and point it down so I could see whats in front of my wheels on a hill or in the mud or when I just don't want to get out.

I wish I had a mygig, do they come standard with the backup cam or is that an accessory? It's freakin expensive.

I think this would work better too.

i don't like the wireless cams, and here's why: too much interference.

example: my father in law has some cheapo gps unit with a wireless camera. when we drive around town we'll be going along and all of the sudden we see someone buying smokes and a 6 pack on the gps. apparently a lot of cameras all use this same 2.4ghz spectrum, which isnt surprising - but we were really surprised how many stores around town (and I live in a small town) we could pick up just driving around. We keep hoping to drive by and see a hold up.

Anywho, this is why wireless cameras suck. they are staticy and there are just too many things that can cause interference. Plus, if you truely want an undercarriage camera system - get something that is halfway decent, sealed for weatherproofing, and hook up a recorder.

If it was me, I'd not only want to see a high quality shot, but I want to record it for later. You're not going to get that with el cheapo ebay wireless camera set.

On the flip side, there aren't too many convenience stores or supermarkets where I go wheeling...

Yep, that's exactly what I have - the VR3. I mounted it to the license plate and the only difference is that I powered it from the light for the license plate...so now, to turn on the cam - I just need to turn on the utility lights on the JK and you have the cam on! Works real well and the wireless reception is pretty good. Not a bad cam for being less than $100.

Here's a YouTube vid of my install on my JK and where I put the LCD. As I don't have power windows...the spot was perfect right between the AC ducts...check out the video:
