Default Upgrading Factory Lighting

I am in the process of doing my first JK build-up and have addressed pretty much everything on my wish-list with the exception of the lighting. I am looking for the best available “plug & play” replacements for my stock headlights and foglights. I have reviewed both the IPF kit and the Truck-Lites in regards to headlight replacement. The IPF kit would be optimal if not for the dozens upon dozens of posts concerning the faulty harness connections. The truck-Lite Kit looks awesome, but in reality it isn’t marketed directly to the JK for plug and play – it is my understanding that to get them to work correctly you need to purchase a third party harness. That is disappointing considering the pretty penny they want for the lights in the first place. As for fog-lights I am kind of at a loss. I am thinking of replacing the factory fogs with Rigid Industries D2s using the mount for the factory housing. The only issue I see with this would be only being able to use them for off road as they would definitely be too bright for on-road use (oncoming traffic, state law, etc.) I guess what I am really looking for are any suggestions from the forum on headlight and foglight replacement.
Thanks a ton in advance,

FWJK

I think the best option so far is the rigid dually d1's in spot pattern with the BDF brackets

You could look at Oracle lights. They make replacement LED's for just about every bulb on the rig and make replacement LED headlights. I ordered the replacement bulbs for dome lights and reverse lights in cool white. They should be here today. I will attach the websites below. The first is the whole website that you can poke around and look at and the second is thier bulb guide website. Just use the drop down menu and select your rig and it tells you the exact replacement bulb for each location. Pretty easy!

Look at the visionX fogs for a plug and play replacement. White light and nice dispersion pattern. We used them off road to see the trail, no need for aux lighting on the bumper.

Seems like they are carrying more options now...

If you just have to spend some money on your OE lighting, look into buying some new aftermarket lamps. Otherwise, save your money for some aux lights. Driving Lights compliment the OE high beams very well. And are legal in most states when mounted correctly.

I use D1s mounted on my XRC bumper, on either side of my winch, and plugged directly into the fog light harness. I only turn on my dim, yellow headlights to satisfy legal requirements- and many times I have forgotten them all together without issue. These things, in flood pattern, are PERFECT.

Hella H4 lights and harness from susquehanna motorsports. I use the Hella H4 80/100 bulbs for cheap from amazon. This kit is fantastic!
