Default where to put the lockpick

OK I got a lockpick and a 2012 jeep. I tried to put it next to the radio but that was a no go. So I was just wondering where everyone is putting theres.

Behind glove compartment for right side (remove door to expose space and see path to center console) or below steering column for left side (remove lower panel to expose space). There's also a penetration on both the very top right and left corners of the firewall to get cables out to your cameras. It's filled with rubber grommet - just poke a hole through it. This is on a 2010 - might work for a 12...

Like he said. My 2012 didn't have rubber grommets in the firewall, just holes filled with that expanding foam. Poke a hole just the same.

I got the v5 and I think its worth it for the ipod intergration and cameras. also you can mess around with it while your driving. I hope this helps.

The wiring harness is plenty long to hide it in several places. I tried several places, but under the glovebox seemed to be the best place.
I ran the wires from the back of the radio to right and under the glove box.

Right now, the lockpick unit is just sitting down there, but you can zip tie it to the metal crossmember there. I have head module for my Cobra 75 zip tied to it right now though.

It's a breakout box that connects to your stock head unit. it provides additional functionality and allows you to connect cameras, displays, iPods, etc.
