Right but they are all roughly a thousand dollars for a 50 inch lightbar, seems outrageous to me

they're all like that. Vision X has a 40 inch for almost 1600. your'e probably better off with a few smaller ones.

I was looking at the d2s and the regular duallys, price wise it would come out to almost the same if i bought a pair of dually spots and a pair of dually driving beam, but would the provide the same amount of lighting? the spots on the windsheild bracket and the driving near the bumper?

Really? I have not seen the duallys or d2s in person but I would have thought that the regular daullys were brighter then a pair of 50 watt lights. I was thinking they would be closer to a 100 or 150 watt light.

Get the d2 driving duallys. They are brighter than the ipf headlights. They are a huge pattern too. They don't shine quite as far tho. If you do the d2 driving duallys and a 20" hybrid sr combo bar. You will be set!
