Are you wanting halogen, led, or hid?

Yeap, as Ryan0260 said, it all comes down to what you're using it for and what sort of technology you want to go with, as well as your budget considerations.
I think most of the lights out there will be a bit pricey once you step in the 150w+ range of output, though the price will vary between Halogen/LED/HID.

Most common setups that I personally have seen:
- Driving beam (and/or) fog beam mounted on front bumper.
- Spot/long range mounted on lower or upper windshield (front roof rack).
- Flood beam mounted on rear tire carrier or rear bumper or side (and/or) rear roof rack.

As for choosing between Halogen/LED/HID, there's many reasons to choose one over the other. One example: LEDs have the least draw compared to Halogen and HID.

Whichever you choose, have fun using it while wheeling

I have a set of off road lights that I have had on my Jeep for over 3 years now that I really love.
LightForce 170 Strikers 55w HID. They are not cheap, but they are nice. They are easily adjusted from a spot beam to a flood, virtually indestructible, and they will light up the way!

Hi
I too have been deciding which ones to get. I am going with the 5" kc's. I picked the driving lights. My front ones on a light bar are RR 6" fogs. The other day I say a guy that had 8" lights on windshield. Way to big - I think.

I have LED lights everywhere EXCEPT on the windshield pillars I have Piaa 520 series halogen lights (135watt) right around the same price as the kcs I'm guessing that their comparable lights, cause both are great brands

I'm very disappointed in my KC 130 spots, pillar lights .... I've had them a year ! ... The hardware is rusted ! & the covers faded quickly ! ... Also seem to be rusting inside , you can see a rust ring around the lense ! .... They work ! But if you care about cosmetics or really want quality .... I'd try something else .....

I use PSC mounts with rigid dually amber led. I use mine angled off the front corner on each side. These are my ditch lights. I have a 20" bar for ahead

I ran 130 watt kc daylighters on my ram and loved them but they were about 25 years old with sealed beams, NOT halogen bulbs. When one blew it was impossible to find a replacement. The lights were originally my father's and we're sitting for years till in found Em in the attic and used them so KC had no problem warrenting. But the rep told me to KEEP the old housings and just send them the sealed beams because he even said the new ones are crap! My 25yr old lights had not a spec of rust but the one pair of new ones I bought have rusted 7months after purchase....
