Windshield light help
I'm very disappointed in my KC 130 spots, pillar lights .... I've had them a year ! ... The hardware is rusted ! & the covers faded quickly ! ... Also seem to be rusting inside , you can see a rust ring around the lense ! .... They work ! But if you care about cosmetics or really want quality .... I'd try something else .....
Here are a couple of shots.

And this one, I know there is foreground lighting but look up at the trees at the end of the road about 1000m away.

Another of a person about 500 ft up the road, zoomed in a bit to see the penetration of the dark with the hid.
I ran 130 watt kc daylighters on my ram and loved them but they were about 25 years old with sealed beams, NOT halogen bulbs. When one blew it was impossible to find a replacement. The lights were originally my father's and we're sitting for years till in found Em in the attic and used them so KC had no problem warrenting. But the rep told me to KEEP the old housings and just send them the sealed beams because he even said the new ones are crap! My 25yr old lights had not a spec of rust but the one pair of new ones I bought have rusted 7months after purchase....
but sadly all these did was make my jeep look 5 years older : ( & really compared to other round options are not really too impressive ... if you would like to stick to the round .... look at some HIDs !! like the ones mentioned & pictured above ^^^ ..... ( badass)
i decided to make the change 2 days ago to replace the KC's.
i put in truck light headlights and when i saw that the headlights high beams were brighter than my KC Daylighters windshield lights, i realized how inferior they are to LED's.
just ordered the rigid d2's -
i also loved the KC look, but now think it is too old school - keep up with the times and keep up with technology -

If you really USE your lighting off road, you need a combination of lights, as not every type of light does everything.
I plan on a combination of Halogen (for dusty/snow conditions) HID (for distance) and LED for closer up. Will put in Amber LED fogs in stock location for daytime headlights and for dusty conditions as well.
