The sets I used to have rusted too...

Hella 500. 5 years old and in perfect condition. I think they are the best deal in lighting. Add hid, and they are friggin amazing.

I just finished up mounting my HIDx 4" lights on the A pillar yesterday. Went out and tried them out last night, and they are incredible.

Hid is way better.than led for distance lighting. My hella hids are amazing.

Here are a couple of shots.

And this one, I know there is foreground lighting but look up at the trees at the end of the road about 1000m away.

Another of a person about 500 ft up the road, zoomed in a bit to see the penetration of the dark with the hid.

ya know , its disappointing really .... because we all know the legendary KC name ...... in they're time they led the industry & I'm sure when they were a smaller company they valued quality & earned they're name & loyal fans. Sadly, With any company that creates a big name for themselves unfortunately sell out for major profits once they have the fan base & switch out with cheaper materials & labor. Oh, well I feel like there "light" is fading & they are far behind the competitors & technology of L.E.D & HID ... they can have they're crap halogens ... I'm joining the times of quality & L.E.D RIGID INDUSTRIES

I completely agree ! ... I loved the Round look , matches the head lights ! matched Style
but sadly all these did was make my jeep look 5 years older : ( & really compared to other round options are not really too impressive ... if you would like to stick to the round .... look at some HIDs !! like the ones mentioned & pictured above ^^^ ..... ( badass)

i decided to make the change 2 days ago to replace the KC's.

i put in truck light headlights and when i saw that the headlights high beams were brighter than my KC Daylighters windshield lights, i realized how inferior they are to LED's.

just ordered the rigid d2's -

i also loved the KC look, but now think it is too old school - keep up with the times and keep up with technology -

If you really USE your lighting off road, you need a combination of lights, as not every type of light does everything.

I plan on a combination of Halogen (for dusty/snow conditions) HID (for distance) and LED for closer up. Will put in Amber LED fogs in stock location for daytime headlights and for dusty conditions as well.
