Default windshield mounted lights

So i just got some KCs on the windshield and was wondering if anyone has had any trouble with someone taking them. They are only on the mounts by one bolt each so any ideas anyone has tried to prevent theft would be gratefully appreciated.

I've had mine on more than a year. Never even considered it. I leave shackles on too, but I live in a rural area...

no problems here - KC makes a locking nut for them but kind of expensive.

There really isn't anything that will keep them safe? The locking nuts are easily taken off with vise grips and even if that worked a couple screws and they take mounts and lights??? Save your money.

good luck!

The thing is....if someone is trying to steal them and can't get them off, they will probably break them in frustration

I've got bumper lights, windshield lights and a light bar. If someone wants them, they will take them. I have never had a problem with it, but in reality, with a soft top in the summer anyone with a few seconds of spare time could have a set of doors too. I guess you just have to trust in your fellow man...

I have always said that locks only keep out honest people. But you can put some heavy duty loc-tight just to slow them down and a viper alarm with motion censors should help.

I bought stainless steel star bolts with a locking nut, never had any issues and I live in a less than stellar area at times but have never had one incident even in the summer with the top off.
