Default Xm Sunk Into Dash

I bought the Daystar dash panel for over the radio. After looking at it for a bit, I decided to cut a hole in it for my XM. I used the wires taped to the top of the radio for power. It works nicely, now all of the plugs are under the dash instead of hanging somewhere. I also routed an aux cable around the trim, so I don't have to deal with an fm transmitter.

Nice look. I've got that same panel, and I have an XM radio in it too. I have the Delphi Roady XT reciever. I have it mounted to a block of oak that sits nicely in that back compartment on the panel. I routed my wires through the side, and my aux cable is setup just like yours. Did you run the power down to one of the cig lighter outlets?

I know mine was only $30. I think XM subsidizes the cost of the receivers. So its not too expensive.

I got my power from the wires taped to the top of the radio. I think they are for the Mopar nav unit that sits on the dash. I have never forgotten to take it with me or lock it in the console.

Don't remember which I used. I just tested them with a multi meter.

very cool. I have a Daystar and love it for cells phones and what-not. I have Sirius but the receiver looks very similar. I mounted mine on the center console between it and the parking brake. It's nice becasue it's out of the way and not real noticeable, but very hard to see the display.
