You think this amp will power these subs good?
im getting 2 JL 10W6v2 (400 watts each). do you think 1 of the JL 500/1v2 would power both of these subs good?

I would recommend just jumping for the 1000/1
The worst thing to do to a sub is to under power it. so I would not recommend putting one 500/1 on two 10w6's although it would more than likely work fine. I mean the 500/1 has been rated to put out anywhere from 600-750 watts of power that is why it works so well wtih one 10. but there is a reason JL labels it as 500 watts..... so you have power to spare.
just my $0.02
