Hi everyone, I have some questions about my wife's wrangler I just bought her, it's a 2007 3.8l v6 with 130,000 km's on it. I have just had it lifted 2 inches and fitted a set of 35's under it. Now I want to find a bit more engine power can anyone help me out with any proven engine mods/upgrades and or engine conversions ie: v6 to a v8 and better fuel economy currently only getting around 400km to a tank and running 15.5km per 100km

I was in the same boat, 5.13's are a world of difference brother! Don't waste time and money on exhaust, cold air etc.

if you still want 4x4 yes front and rear needs to match, if you never plan to use 4wd than no... but who doesn't use 4x4 in a wrangler

I would go 4.88s but it depends on your wheeling too. They tend to run just a tad high on the highway. Again it's a bit of personal opinion, but 5.13s would be too low for me.

Agreed having a manual I would think 4.88s would be good if it were an auto then maybe 5.13s

I have a 2010 with a 3.8. I did 4.88. I wish I went with the 5.13. But I have a auto.

I have the 3.8L manual with 35" tires also. I decided to go with 4.56 gears and it definitely brought the "lost" power back.
