I purchased a 2008 Sahara w 75k auto, 5/6" lift, had 20's with 35's...gas mileage was 11 .. maybe, so I traded the 20's for 17's w 35's , mileage went to 14-15, very happy ... loved the JK, little rough riding but nothing like the other 5 TJ's i owned . Then along came Irma... ins totaled the 08, i fought to keep it but they said it had to be destroyed. Finally got a real good ck for it and went shopping. After what i heard about the newer v6, had to get a 2012 or newer, so for 2k more than my ck , I found same color , decent miles , but bone stock... not for long...
First added hitch and wiring , then seat covers , kicker speaker upgrade , relocated the mirrors and still retained the power option(pia) . Was able to keep my metal moto's & tires off the 08, just sold the tires and bought 285/70/17 Mastercraft ATX..$795 out the door . Have a leveling kit waiting but not sure whether i will put it on ... getting close to 20 mpg and it rides so nice ...
