The adhesive pads suck honestly. In the pic with the materials I used you can see I bought some of the quality 3M double sided adhesive lol. I used it on several of the pads that weren’t solid. Fortunately the tie holders are super cheap so I don’t mind paying 8 bucks for the 3M.
Ya i have done basically this to my jeep about 3 years ago and in the Texas sun with a Black Jeep they last about 4-5 months. That is with me taking off the cheap adhesive and throwing on the stupid sticky 3M version.
Hoping it lasts a little longer, not really hard on my rigs. I also did several coats of paint and clear coat and hope that will offer some additional protection. With as many mounting points and strength of the 3M, I don’t think they’re going anywhere.

Well had a horrible day at work, but was made much better when I arrived home to see multiple boxes of Jeep stuff - funny how those always make things better huh?
Anyway, my JKS 2.5 lift, grab bars, and my rock light kit all showed up today which is cool. Also got my wheels ordered. Went with an RBP 94R 17x9 with a -12 offset and 4.5 BS (hopefully these will do the trick.
Anyway, looking forward to getting it all done in the coming weeks!
Got my cheapo grab handles installed. Made by wild boar, some sale I think I paid like 30 bucks. But they're solid and do the job. Recommend using a drill and it goes way faster.
My Poison Spyder hood louver came in today so I decided to throw it on. Took a few hours - but turned out great. Just have to be careful lining up the template - then it's all about drilling, drawing your cut lines, doing the cutting, drilling the mounting holes and throwing it back on. Was a fun little project and I'm happy with the end result.
Was able to get the DV8 tire carrier installed last night. Terrible install - followed the directions to a T and this thing fought me every step of the way. Outside of that the carrier itself is pretty solid. Powder coating isn't amazing, but not terrible either. Also got the tires/wheels put on today. Now just gotta slap the lift on soon. Outside of that threw on my 50" dual row light bar. Nothing huge but coming along. The tires are 315/70r17 Kumho Road Venture MT's. The wheels are RBP 94R's in 17x9 with -12 offset. Definitely a stuffed look until the lift is on - had to remove the air dam up front so there wouldn't be any rubbing.
