Default My slow mass JKUR build.......

I purchased my JKUR new in August 2011. I got it with a manual transmission. This is a really slow build so hang in there. Since I bought I have done a few basic mods and built a few things for it as well. I use this Jeep for everything from Moab trails to hauling building materials to family camping so my mods revolve around a combination of things. I try to plan each mod out so I only have to do it once. Although that doesn't always happen. Enjoy and let me know if anyone has any questions or share your thoughts.

Here is the Jeeps first trip to Moab on "Top of the World" trail. It's stock except I stubbied the front bumper and mounted my warn xd9000i. Jeep did well but I found some areas that could be improved.

One of these things was lack of appropriate skid plates. So I installed EVOs protect skid system. I like it but it tends to rattle on the exhaust crossover. I tried spacing it out with washers but even after three thick washers it still rattled. As of right now I only have the oil and transmission skid installed. Sorry for the crappy cell pic...

Picked up a Gobi rack for $300....

Converted it to a stealth rack....

Then I decided to build a front bumper. I'll be honest, I took some design cues from a few companies. But it turned out pretty good I think.

I'll post up some more of the build later......Thanks for looking!

Here is the 2.5" RK Max travel with Fox 2.0 shocks.

After install

Second trip to Moab, did Poison Spider and Hells Revenge. Not pictured are Viking synthetic winch line and Trek Armor seat covers. I'll post pics if anyone wants to see those.

Well sliders were next on the list....so why not build some. These are welded and bolted to the frame using DOM tubing.

Installed some poison spider diff covers. They do interfere with the RK track bars I have on the front and rear but according to RK I should be able to rotate them to clear. We'll see...... Also installed a Corbra 75 wxst CB.

Also did synergy ball joints

They were a pain in the a$$ but worth it for the experience.

Future plans:
35" BFG KO2 or Duratracs on ATX 195
RCV axles
Synergy skid plates
Ripp Supercharger
Line X interior and exterior
Some sort of rear bumper/tire carrier

Looks great so far! Do you think you save money making your own bumper/rails or do you just do it for fun? I think i may need to learn how to weld lol..
