Shes alive!!!!!!

Took it for a tank of gas and a burger at Sonic today. Then immediately went back and tore the rear end apart chasing a dragging brake caliper which let to finding a loose jam nut on the rear upper control arm which led to ....

Had a great day of wrenching. I sat and admired it for quite some time this evening. Very happy with how it turned out.

We went out for the shake down run this weekend at Hidden Falls and it worked great! This thing rides like a Cadillac on the trails and the wheel base made things feel nice and controlled.

No matter how many times I tried, I never got it to lift a tire all weekend. I was impressed.

The shocks I'm running are 10" travel and the springs don't unseat front or rear.

Stuffs just right, but I'm going to have to bump stop it about 2" to keep the tire out of the body behind the armor.

How about those pre-stacked rocks? (Snoopy West)

(Midnight Run?)

Redneck La Quinta!

I still have to add bump stops front and back and I'm ordering a Currie AntiRock for the rear because nothing else will work with the way things are moved around back there. I didn't do bumps before the trip because I never had a chance to get it on a forklift and measure. I've got a good idea of where we need to be now.

Overall I couldn't be happier. It was great being out on the trail in a Jeep I wasn't' worried about beating up again!

Here's a video of it on the trail:

Leave well enough alone! Said Marcus, never.

I'm waiting on wheels...

Recently I changed from 1.5" RK to 2.5" RK coils. I got exactly 1.25" increase front and rear.

I also had to add a set of wheel spacers because the Currie Antirock arms were too close to the tire out back, but I'm working around that to remove the spacers.

This is before, on 1.5 coils:

After on 2.5 coils with 1.5" wheel spacers:

Wheelin pics! I *LOVE* the 38s and 2.5 coils. This thing is super, super stable now. Very happy. Need full widths so I can lose the spacers. Bah!

Sorry for these crappy pictures, I was trying to show a customer something under full droop/stuff.

Just cruising up the easy line with my arm out the window. LOL

Did you use the RK long arm and just extended 3" or did you use stretch kit. Awesome build.
