Interesting though how you used stock control artec's site says something about having to modify the upper mounts or something. You just bolted right up to stock arms/mounts?

Rear was stock except I got a yoke from a older 14 bolt. The front is stock except the crossover steering arm. I did just add a arb to the front and the rear arb is in the garage. Take time to source your parts find the good deals.

I love this thread. Big help to us guys looking to do this swap. I have a few questions as I am gathering my parts. I am doing to the Artec 1 ton swap with the ford 60 front and sterling rear out of a 03 super duty.

Could you give us some help on a few issues and maybe the steps you took for the following:
Drivelines: What drive lines or from what vehicles can we use and what fabricating is necessary to make them work in the jk? This will help big time with money costs on custom shafts. I know you used a 14 bolt but what will work for the rear of the sterling?

Front Abs: Considering Artec makes a kit for the rear, what did you find was the easiest to allow for abs to work and keep the dash lights happy for the front?

Steering: What is necessary and what will be needed extra to make the steering complete with the 1 tons? Considering we have the stock steering that is on the ford axle.

Link mounts: Artec mentions the mounts are slightly wider. Did you have any issues with this? What control arms are needed? Flex joint or will bushing do fine?

Thank you so much! This will help me along with any newbie 1 tonner.

If you read the thread you will answer most of your questions as for the axles you are using I don't know the answers my axles are different. But instead of rushing into the swap do a lot of research. I had some of the parts for over a year while I figured out the how's the what's and the will it work. There is a lot of people doing the swap and a lot more that has done it already. Most spend lots of money to achieve the same thing I did. I have a long history in off-road and fab so I was just a little day dreaming for me but just do your research. Sd axles are very different than the old 60/14 combo I used.
