The Rubicon/Little Sluice Challenge Ultimate Junk-Yard Build
Read a little deeper into the thread and you might notice that we will be doing a full-float Dana 70 rear and 60 in front, upgrading the driveshafts and axle shafts...
Thanks guys - I appreciate the support.
Jim got the rear driveshaft in. At full droop everything is fine, but at full stuff the driveshaft is about an inch too long. He will be be pulling it out and cutting it down to fit. A couple pics:

Wow Dave, I just checked out your jeep build thread and things are looking darn good compared to that pic you posted of your jeep engine and trans being pulled. BTW, whose getting your lockers? I need some and since your going to be driving a monster jeep, you won't need them any more, so I'll take them. I can't wait to see your jeep when it's done.

Most of the wiring got done today and the rework of the engine compartment, including the new AEV battery tray, etc. The rollover engine came without a starter, and we've gone through 2 after-market starters and neither have been the correct bolt-pattern. So, tomorrow, Higher Ground will make a visit to our local Jeep Stealership to pick up a stock starter - we will figure out an upgrade later. Eight days and counting until Moab, and we are in good shape - that will be one heck of a good test run of 723 miles to Moab.

and maybe your drive shaft will be okay
Actually, I'm now going to 43's, but this won't happen until after Moab. During "Stage 2," we will be ditching all the current suspension and driveshafts anyway...
