The Jeep looks like it's coming together nicely. I've heard of the turtle but I thought it was closed.
Windrock should be fun as well. If you need an SWR meter, I have one you can use. I still haven't
installed my CB yet but it came in the kit i picked up. I'm still pretty stock besides a leveling kit
and wheels and tires.

They tried to shut dtor down but didn't get it done! And I got my cb tuned and tweaked a lil today 1.5-1.6 swr readings across the board! Talks great! Thanks for the complements it's coming along slowly but surely! There's nothing wrong with a stock jeep either heck mines not too far from it either! They're all stock once!

I want a stock Willys Wheeler so badly I can taste it. Once you start building, the trails that used to be a blast become the equivalent of an unmaintained road. I've gotta drive 3 hours to find some rocks! If I had a stock I could find some fun stuff 30-90 minutes away!

Been a few days so I figured I'd update the thread and where the build is at the current moment....

I got an unbelievable deal on a brand new rubicon front d44 with the locker!!!! So that opened a whole different can of worms... Regearing the rear 44 I'm going with Yukon 4.10 in the rear leaving it open to save some cost. While under the jeep looking at the rear end I noticed oil on my shock.... Then realized that three out of four of my crappy zone shocks were busted! To top that off my family and I are headed to gatlinburg tenn this weekend!!! And since we bought the jeep we've been looking forward to having our jeep in the smokies but I'd just dropped a bunch of cash on the rubi axle..... Now what? Well I called josh at overland off-road (got him on speed dial) and guys let me just tell you

if you're not buying from OOR then you are throwing money away!!!

I wound up going with the rancho 9000 all the way around! Even with the overnight shipping to get them to me he still smoked the competitions price honestly guys CHECK HIM OUT before you order!!!!!!

Also my new synergy springs came in today! Really liking the pile of parts I have as soon as I unload my axle off the crate gonna have a heller of an install ahead of me!!!

How did this go from "I just need a spider web shade" to swapping axles?!
And from "we'll swap the suspension out" to "We'll swap the suspension out, re-gear the rear axle, swap out the front, and....." Looking forward to getting it all installed soon.

Edit: Completely correct about Overland Off Road, I'm not sure how Josh is making a living off of these prices lol

Haha that's how it works though! You are going to have to change this thread title soon! Something like "All I wanted was some quick discos and a freakin orange sunshade, but now I've got a hemi swapped, full cage rock crawler and a couch to sleep on! Send help."

You don't even know how true this is for him!

Maybe we should just open up shop with an apartment out back man! I think it's actually a smart move. Congrats on the axle, when does the truss come in?

Oh man, its purdy! Paint that sucker orange! Or at least do the diff cover. You can justify it by saying 'paint prevents rust' haha!

I've been considering doing mine white since my jeep is white. Just got to decide if its too flashy for a jeep.
