Best Hi Lift mount recommendations
Looking for recommendations on a quality hi-lift mount for a 2017 Wrangler JK Smoky Mountain 4-door. Preferably one that doesnt require drilling. What have you all been using?

Generally a high lift is kinda silly additional weight to carry on a regular basis. They are rarely used IMO. Having said that, there are a couple times I have carried one for long trips where I need to be as self-sufficient as humanly possible due to terrain and geographic remoteness. I have used the mounts hood hinge bolts and hold the jack in front of the windshield. The only complaint I have about those is that position blocks my windshield sprayer nozzles and unless I'm going 70+mph on the interstate and have help from the wind, no fluid gets to the windshield to clean it.

You can buy brackets that attach to the top of the roll bar in back, that keeps it high and out of the way, yet accessible, but more importantly, it's inside and out of the elements. I made one out of exhaust pipe hangers (U-shaped) and some metal strap material that I had, and mount mine about half-way up the roll bar, so that it just clears the tote boxes. I also mount my shovel to the hi-lift with fist clamps. Both then become readily accessible

I like that idea of mounting inside, haven’t seen those mounts, my hi lift is probably 35 years old, don’t carry it much because of mounting, it stayed in my tool box with my trucks, the springs and pins don’t like the elements from being outside
