deep woods ingenuity!
During a recent wheeling trip, a friends coil spring poped out of his lifted WJ Grand Cherokee. We hi-lifted the Grand, but couldn't fit the spring back in without first compressing it. Here's our trail side solution!
We used my warn winch and a craftsman wrench to compress the spring, then held it tight with what we had... gorilla tape, one tie strap, a sock, and a t-shirt. Scary but effective :o)

believe me, we were cringing and treated that spring like a time bomb! Not something to take lightly, but it was what we had to do to make it out of the Maine woods. Did I mention that the fuel tank was also ruptured and leaking fuel? If we didn't fix the spring fast we would have run out of fuel. Time was not on our side
