you could but the Hi-Lift has a better history for working after braving the elements over time.

I am sure it would work fine, but probably won't last a long time. High-Lift have the proven in the field history to demand the cost.

I was comparing a Hi-Lift to a REESE jack side by side at Tractor Supply Co. While the price of the Reese was appealing, having them both next to each other for a comparison really made me see that the Hi-Lift was the better choice. I didnt buy either because my wife would have killed me as I already spent $160 on recovery gear. But the Hi-Lift would be my choice.

It will work but the quality is no where's near the same. Plus if it matters at all the HiLift comes with pre drilled holes for mounting it in certain applicaions. The farm Jack does not. Buy one on Amazon spend the extra little bit of money and don't look back. You'll be glad on the trail that you did.

i've been eyeballing this jack myself. Im pretty sure its a "Made in China" knock-off. When it comes right down to it, im going to spend my hard earned dollars on one made in America.

Quadratec has it for $74.99 on their website, im sure one of the many vendors will price match that, aaaaand if you bundle it with something else, you might even get free shipping too!

I got my Hi-Lift from a garage sale for $10, it must be at least 30 years old if not older. I took it apart, cleaned it, painted it, and had to use it last week to help a friend who was hi-centered and it work perfectly. Take from that what you will.

Yup, Hi-lift is a quality product that is reasonably priced. Unlike the war of winches, the high lift jack is worth its reasonable price

There is no subsitute for the Hi-Lift brand. I have been using Hi-lifts for years. This style of jack can be very dangerous, I have seen several incidents with worn out jacks or cheap brands. If you ever see someone get hit upside the head with the handle cause a pin was worn and slipped with a load on it you would never think twice about buying only Hi-Lift quality.
